all hope in the developer for making future maps. First of all, the lighting is terrible. It's awkward, random, ugly, super bright, and just doesn't work. The map is like a mixture of night and day and just kills my eyes. As if that weren't enough, the texture work is horrid. I think the author should simply take the RVS textures and use them in the map to maintain that modern feel, or just give it a whole new texture set from CoD so it looks somewhat believable. In short, don't expect a whole lot from this map as far as playability is concerned; although it's available in DM, TDM, CTF, and ACTF (latter two for regular CoD), it's all just a handful of bare, poorly lit walls and a layout to give it shape—albeit an entirely displeasing shape. See the screenshots, and download it only if you are very much in need of something new to play. -xXezekielXx PS: Don't have to make 'em to break 'em, that's what I say. Sorry, though, paulb39. EDIT: The map is also available in BEL. EDIT 2: At his most urgent request, the following is paulb39's description of the map. Feel free to comment on it below.
This is my 5th map, a remake of the map mp_Streets from the game Rainbow six 3: Raven Shield. Its pretty much the same, except it doesnt have the modern textures to it. And yes I do agree with xXezekielXx that "the lighting is terrible" and if I find my .map I will kidnly fix that. This is my "Fx map" since I spent a lot of time on scripting things like exploadable objects and walls. The map is playing at my cod1 server, just do /connect codstats.kicks-ass.org in console.
As much as I love Raven Shield and its expansion Iron Wrath, I can't say I appreciate this map conversion from the former. I can only very briefly explain how crummy the quality is without ruining
