Essentially, Crater Lake (v2) is more or less, a total remake of the original [i]Crater Lake[/i], which will provide you with even more [b]Far Cry 2[/b] goodness and some serious Assault action! The center of Crater Lake (v2) houses a island compound that is protected by a wall that stretches the outside perimeter; In one corner, you have a tower that can act as a sniper nest, or simply a place to get the lay of the land and an idea of where the enemy personnel are. There are only two ways on and off the island, without getting your feet wet, and as these are fairly open, caution is suggested; If you don't want to take chances on the bridges, you can always use a boat...or if you are not interested in penetrating the central fortress, you can cruise the waves! Making your way up the track to the high rock will afford you an excellent place to reach out and touch someone, one bullet at a time, however, it may not be the safest place to get to, or to remain at. If you prefer the action of the Assault gamemode, there is also a small town with some trees to add some overhead cover. For a break in the action, head into the cave...but remain on your guard! This map would also make for an awesome SinglePlayer version, ([i]hint hint[/i]) however, for now, grab some friends and enjoy the Assault action that Crater Lake (v2) makes available!
