in reality, the better choice over a second weapon. They are great for defense and the occasional clubbing over the head. Alas, I digress. This shield model right here, it's not bad. Well, sure, the textures are pre-made and stretched and cut to suit the meshes, so they don't look all that good. I mean, sure, they look 'cool' and all, but as far as detail goes, they're lacking. The mesh itself is a little on the wasteful side with its usage of polygons. One could slice a few loops off and it'll still look just as good. As far as gameplay goes, it's got eight blades, none of which do any damage. Which is good. Bolted to your wrist, set to block only, it behaves quite like a shield. The enormous parry bonus, however, steals a bit of the realism. Tone it down a bit, like... down to a quarter of the current bonus. Also, it's not available in MP. Why, I know not. It can be used in SP, though, via the console commands. If you're the kind who would choose a shield over a second weapon, you might want to give this a try. - Jose
Shields aren't often made for this game. Probably because it's tactically more beneficial to use the free hand to grip your saber tighter or to grip another saber. Well, in JA, at least. Shields are,
