Silver Forces (Beta 1)

includes a soccer game! Installation is pretty easy: Just extract the exe-file from silverforces-beta.zip, run it and point it to you SOF directory (like E:gamesSOF)... It extracts a directory called SILVER (with the needed files) and a batchfile called silver.bat! In case of an uninstall, just delete the directory and batchfile ;) To run the mod, simply start silver.bat! The first thing to do, is to change it's language when you don't speak French (coz French is the mod's default language). You can do this by going to OPTIONS, MISC! Then you have to set all you favorite setting for video, keys, etc as the mod cannot use your original settings (it uses it's own settings)! The MOD is in a beta-fase so don't expect everything to run smoothly! Some maps needs to be started in DM-mode, other needs to be started in CTF-mode... Sometimes my system hung and i had to leave with F12 (and a blind ENTER). I tried a few maps and settings very quickly. I found some hostages but i couldn't find the spot where i have to bring them to! And i couldn't fuse/defuse the bomb... Maybe i need to test it with more people with at least one person in every team! I haven't seen all maps of Silver Forces, but most of the maps that i did see were small! Some maps are very nice, and some are just plain simple... And some maps i couldn't see as it would not start in any mode (maybe i rushed too much?)! I am glad something is happening on the mod-front! It is still an (early) beta, but it probably won't hurt you when you take a look at it... so, go get it!
