mounted across the ship\'s symmetry axis. The Galaxy-class nacelle has warp coils mounted vertically in pairs. The same nacelle is used by the Freedom with modifications. Since the coils are horizontally staggered inside the nacelle instead of vertically as with the Galaxy, it acts more like a pair than a single nacelle, thus satisfying the Roddenbery principle and allowing the ship to avoid the Roddenbery effect, emitting a smaller warp signiture as well.
