Thanks to all those out in internet land who decided to try my glove set! These gloves are inspired by the E3 2013 showing of Battlefield 4. Thought those gloves would look good in Battlefield 2, so I set out to recreate them.

Thanks goes out to the BF2 community's super cool and super skilled JONES who gave me permission to use his old "Urban Raid" USMC Desert Digital Uniform set to go with my new gloves.

I highly recommend JONES' mod "Alpha Project" for Battlefield2, anything he touches screams incredible quality. Check it out!

You'll need to contact JONES as the uniform my gloves are attached to are his. If you have HIS permission for use then feel free to use my gloves so long as I am properly credited for my work on them. You can contact JONES at his "Alpha Project" website link above.

Did I mention this is a warning? Installing custom content into BF2 will prevent you from playing online because anti-cheat software will think you're trying to cheat, when you're just trying to be stylish. So BACKUP ANY FILES YOU PLAN TO CHANGE. Best to just use a personal mod for applying custom content,that way you don't risk breaking your BF2 install and forcing you to reinstall everything.

First drop these texture files into Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\"mod of choice here"\Objects_client.zip\soldiers\US\textures

Pick the map you want to use these skins in. Go inside that map's server.zip. Drag the init.con file to the desktop. Open it with notepad and scroll down to this area that has "customTextureSuffix"...

Looks like the following...

Insert the texture suffix of my glove set into the parentheses. Should look like this when done...

When you go to save the changes make sure the "read only" box is not checked so you can save changes.

Place the modified init.con back into the correct map server.zip (the one you got it from) and overwrite the old init.con when prompted (you DID make BACKUPS right? Make sure you remember what you've changed if you don't).

And that's it. Now you should be able to go inside that particular map and the USMC will be using those textures for their uniforms/gloves.
