-----------------------MasterChiefRulZ's Desert Multi-Cam for USMC--------------------

Thanks for downloading! :D Hope you like!

CREDITS:

Thanks goes out to "SomerenV" for the Desert Multi-Cam and NYCO Multi-Cam textures I used to create this skin set.

Skins, gloves, other textures (everything else) by "MasterChiefRulZ."

About:

Browsing the net and came across the concept (fictional) Desert Multi-cam camo someone (SomerenV) made, decided that would be a great camo to put in game with some new concept gloves I was working on at the time. Yeah, I actually started with my gloves first and it all just snowballed from there. This camo is not to be confused with "Multi-Cam ARID" which is a real world camo.

Chose to put in some older NYCO Multi-Cam (pre 2010) to replace DICE's choice of ERDL style camo on the kit items. It sort of fit with the DICE's original theme of "Out with the old in with the new" so I went with it and it turned out better than I originally thought.

Reskinned lots of items and pieces to try to give the soldiers a whole new feel short of actually adding/removing meshes or kit Geometery. Everything is the same just new coat of paint.

All texture sheets bumped up to double resolution of original BF2 with high rez samples of real world textures galore.

Installation:

Drag and drop the files to their proper locations according to how they are set in their folders within the zip file. You should notice other similar files in the install locations within BF2 that should clue you in that you are dropping a file in the correct spot.

Then go to a map that you desire to use these camos in.

Go in that map's Server.zip and pull out to the desktop the INIT.con file.

Open the INIT.con file with notepad and scroll down just past the setkit lines till you reach this...

rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
gameLogic.setBeforeSpawnCamera 186/26/-413 -15/19/0
if v_arg1 == BF2Editor
	LevelSettings.CustomTextureSuffix ""
else
	texturemanager.customTextureSuffix ""
endIf
rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
GameLogic.MaximumLevelViewDistance 400
rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

add the texture suffix of the files, which is MCRDM, within the parentheses so it looks like the following...

rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
gameLogic.setBeforeSpawnCamera 186/26/-413 -15/19/0
if v_arg1 == BF2Editor
	LevelSettings.CustomTextureSuffix "MCRDM"
else
	texturemanager.customTextureSuffix "MCRDM"
endIf
rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
GameLogic.MaximumLevelViewDistance 400
rem -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

save your changes (make sure the file is not set to "read only" or it won't save) and drag and drop the INIT.con file back where you got it. Overwrite the file when prompted.

Now when you play that particular map you will be using this custom skin set. :)

UNINSTALLATION:

Remove the texture suffix from the parentheses of the INIT.con file so it looks like it did before you added MCRDM and then drag and drop the file back into the Serverobjects.zip and overwrite when prompted.
