I started playing CS:S again, and immediately noticed a lack of quality in player reskins, so I started this little project...
New baked / sculpted normal maps, complete with detail normals from textures.
Detailed textures bringing the T_leet from 2004 into 2015, Diffuse, Normal, Exponent in glorious 2048x2048 HD texture sheets.
Proper shader setup, enabling all the shader features that Source (2004) has to offer.
I found bits of it had aged badly enough to merit a complete retexture. The face and belt have gotten the most attention, but if you study the screenshots you'll find some of the default texture in there pretty much untouched.
The most noticable were the lack of proper normals and shader setup from Valve.
