ABOUT THIS FILE: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ This is a High resolution replacement skin for the allied soldier in Day of Defeat: Source. It is TWICE the size of the default skins so make sure your computer can handle it. It has been running smoothly on an ATI 9700 pro that is 3 years old so any modern video cards should have no problems.

I made this skin to depict as accurately as possible a late war (1944-1945) US soldier fighting on the European Front. He is wearing an M43 jacket and trousers.

The Sleeve skin actually belongs to Captain Higgins and was slightly modified by me to match my skins.

KNOWN ISSUES ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ * skin inaccuracies Not all colors are going to be perfect. The US uniform, by design, is pretty drab and boring. Some liberties were taken with the skin to give better contrast to details in-game.

• model issues that cannot be corrected with the skin Euipment suspenders at the top of the shoulder are incorrect. I did the best I could to fake it.

• other items of note The buttons on the jackets cuffs - apparetnly there was more than one way they were sewn on. I choose the style I was able to find 40+ pictures of, not the style shown on the jackets in Saving Private Ryan.
