The Glock fulfills the role of an accurate weapon with low firepower. It's bountiful ammunition makes it ideal for patiently exterminating pests at low cost and less risk, and it's accuracy makes it an excellent long-range weapon, especially when the target has no means to match the range of the operator. It is also one of the few weapons that can be fired when submerged underwater, which may prove indispensable. Outside of its advantages, the Glock under-performs in combat in comparison to other weapons.
