I was trying this before....but whole was wrong =O
Now Im back !
So what is all about:
Look at render... Do you remember this part of game? Part where those huge combine walls begins lift up, than hit the ground and at the end crushes all like some mega bulldozer? Wasnt it wierd that only sound witch wall was producing on it´s destroing orgy, was final move "pushing"?
Yes correct, it is wierd .... it is another bug and i am 100% sure that is ... acording a way how i fixed this.
Well what i have done:
At first try i attached sounds directly to the walls animations frames... that works fine, but it just wasnt the same as in E3 ....oh yea E3video...so on that video with those striders fight there was niiiice sounds playing when combine wall was moving....for see what i mean check this link:
Now after some time i found way easier and faster way how to fix it... i just copied couple lines conected with combine wall sounds from unused text file in gcf (base source engine 2.gcf) witch name was level_sounds_e3_c17.txt to game_sounds_world.txt ... well thats it....thats all
It was all there, all the time, someone from valve just forgot to enable it, just like ejecting shells on pistol... it is exactly the same type of bug...->all is prepared all is working, just isn´t on right place in flothers, or it is not enabled....
