To use this skin, you must have the Killing Floor SDK installed.

Alright, this can be a bit tricky, so i'll try to keep it simple.

-Open the Killing Floor SDK.

-You should see a texture window with guts in it.

-(IF NOT) at the top, click "view" then go all the way down and click "Show Texture Browser".

-Now that the guts are on your screen click where it should say "22CharTex"

-There should be a drop down menu.

-Locate and click "KF_Weapons_Trip_T" None of the other ones. Just this one.

-Click "File" and then click "Import".

-Locate the folder where you extracted the skin then import "Deagle_D.bmp"

-Delete the text that says "Group: [equipment]"

-Replace it with "Group: [Pistols]"

-Press "OK"

-You should see the golden deagle texture now.

-There are 3 versions of this texture.

-The 1st and 3rd should be really shiney.

-Right click the 1st shiney one and click "Properties"

-A window should pop up with the texture.

-Underneath the texture it will say "CombineOperation"

-Click that so it become highlighted then on the right side of the window, a small arrow should appear.

-Click that so that a drop down menu will appear.

-Change it to CO_Multiply

-Close it. Then close the texture browser, and finally close the editor. Just close it ALL.

-then a window MIGHT pop up. "save changes to map?"

-nah. unless you were working on a map, then by all means save it. Why not?

-but however you do it, it should close the editor. That window isn't all that important.

-The next window IS important. Very important.

-"The package 'KF_Weapons_Trip_T' has been changed and needs to be saved. Save it now?"


Then go to My computer >> C: >> Program Files (may or may not be x86) >> Steam>> Steamapps >> Common>> KillingFloor>> Textures.

now that you are in this folder, locate the file titled 'KF_Weapons_Trip_T'. Click it so that it is highlighted. then click SAVE.

If anything else pops up just say YES. One may say the file on the disk is larger than blah blah, just say yes.

You are done.

Warning...if you say no. you have to redo it all.

God that was so difficult. Why couldnt tripwire use the source engine?
