S.T.A.L.K.E.R. MODDERFREAK'S TWEAKED BERETTA FOR L4D

-WHAT IS IT?

this is a model replacement based on Modderfreak tweaked version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. beretta,it changes the Left 4 Dead vanilla colts

though it's quite harsh to compile custom models for L4D,it's a "simple" hackjob,nothing serious has been made with textures expect a few simple recolors and modderfreak premade VMF files that you can choose depending of your likings...no custom sounds provided,but there's a proper VGUI pic

the model works online,and won't work for L4D2

-INSTALL

.before you start to install this or any other custom skins,it's a good idea to keep a backup of your "pak01_dir" file,located in your L4D root folder... the file is also included in the rar just in case,you might even be able to find it through the net

.extract the rar,then put the "pak01_dir" file (not the backup one!),the "whitelist.cfg",the "materials" and "models" folders in your L4D root folder... the game's default directory should be something like this: (...)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead(root folder) overwrite the files when asked

.that's it...if you want to uninstall the model,you just need to get your pak01_dir backup and again,put it in the root folder...

I was supposed to ask modderfreak for his permission before releasing such a skin,but he left the community from some times,his userID seems deleted...I've been trying to send him a private message about it but he seems nowhere to be found,so in such a weird situation I decided to release the skin without having him contacted anyway
