Aperture Scientists



I had originally started this as a simple headhack and reskin for Garry's Mod. I had nothing to use them for in G-mod, so I quit. Soon enough, I got Portal: Prelude. I didn't quite like the simple re-skins the Scientists used, and so a goal was set. I got back to work on my headhacks and reskins. In the process, I discovered quite a few things.

The original release of these was strictly for Portal: Prelude, but soon enough, I decided I should release these for developers. In the zip, there are two main folders. Apert01 and Group01. Apert01 is hexed models. They are in the folder models\humans\Apert01\ and can only be used when the developer specifically tells the map to use one of the models for the citizen. The folder Group01, however, is replacements. With those, you can use the default random citizen selection, although I'd suggest that if you were to use those, you should BSPzip them.

The eyes on this are at least partially fixed. It really differs from model to model. For instance, Male_07 can only close his eyes half-way and can't raise them, while Male_08 can close his eyes almost perfectly, and can raise them about half-way.

The texture for the labcoat is based off Kliener's coat. The position of the Aperture logo was decided because of this official image.
