This is a new AKM-47 skin I made after I noticed that the original AKM skin was really pixelated and too bright. This one is a bit more smooth and more detailed. I also touched up the wood a little so it looks like real wood you would find on the front grips of a real AKM-47.I used parts from my Afghan AK-74 on it. Tyrockell18 is the original author of that skin (wood-synth AK-74) which I based my Afghan AK-74 on. This AK-47 skin is for those that have any version of Solecist's Reality Enhancement mod in which the AK-47 is added as a weapon. I added some contours onto the front grips for your fingers. Keep in mind htat it's impossible to change the model of the weapons without the SDK so the contours actually appear in 3D. If anyone can, I will send you the bump map so you can modify it to accomodate the contours.I will update this download by adding a nocontour version of this skin if anybody wants it. I can't do it now because I am having problems with Photoshop.

Installation: Extract to your STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl folder. Cut and paste the gamedata folder out of the mod folder so the folder called gamedata is inside your STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl folder. If you already have a gamedata folder, cut and paste the textures folder if you don't have a textures folder in gamedata. Same with the wpn folder; if you don't have one, cut and paste it in the textures folder. If you have all those folders already, just cut and paste the skin you want to use into your WPN folder. If you want to use this skin as an AK-74, then rename it to wpn_ak74 .

I don't have any problems with people modifying this skin and releasing it as long as no money is made and credit is given to the original author.

ATTENTION!!

I apparently put int the wrong .dds fine into this mod!! No one's notified me of this error, apparently! Well, I've updated it with the RIGHT texture. Good thing I noticed this mistake by accident. Thank you guys for being so observant and taking the initiative!
