I managed to make it look good... somehow. I gave myself a pat on the back for this one- it required some seemingly arbitrary conniving to make it both the given length and clean. It has none of those pesky extra pixels that linger on my other trails.
Yeah, this thing.  You can see it plain as day.
The solution? It's really dumb. Take your base trail that you used for the Trace file and SHORTEN IT BY ONE PIXEL ON TOP AND BOTTOM. That's it... but it's still so stupid. For whatever reason, the add files have 1 extra pixel in height on both top and bottom than the actual trace file. Well, joke's on them because I cracked the code. HA!... It's not that impressive. ANYWAYS, onto the origins.
This trail is inspired by the visual effects used in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for all weapons in the game. The exception to the rule is the light blue trail, which is only used for the Ragnell, so I made two versions. Oh, and of course, weapons don't usually glow when being used. So I used some previously created files to rid of them. Feel free to use them if you wish. The lighter versions are alpha-wise closer to origins, but the heavier ones are my "Smashified" versions for those who like the trails to stand out.
Enjoy.
