Ahem. I saw this suggested on the steampowered forums one day and after scrolling through the spy knife category over here I noticed noone tried doing this, so I thought I'd give it a try just in the interest of steering some of the other modelers and animators in this direction. That being said, this was my first time working with 3D Studio Max so don't expect perfection. Actually, the animation is pretty far from finished, and so I've packed the source files within the download accompanied with an idiot-friendly readme that explains compiling and decompiling a bit, so it can be used for individual projects too.

Don't expect another release from me since I'm not actually an animator, nor do I have the patience to make this look perfect.

ANYONE WILLING TO EXERCISE THEIR LEET ANIMATION SKILLS ON THIS RELEASE IS FREE TO DO SO.

Oh, and the knife model used in the screenshots is not included, the release uses the standard knife. PS: The animation also has a custom draw sound to match the knife's spinning.

Edit: Yeah i forgot, the reason for why he flips the knife at the end is cause he uses the knife the other way around when idle as opposed to how it would wind up in his hand after he did the trick. I didn't think of any other way of flipping it more nicely. If i just let it as is it would just glitchturn at the end which looks kinda bad lol.

Edit: Added a faster, 38frames version. This does not contain the first few frames and the last flip. It also has the default draw sound, but is synced to movement. This one looks better than the 35frames one. DOWNLOAD LINK FOR 38 FRAMES VERSION.
