NOTE: THE SKINS SHOWN IN THE SCREENSHOTS AND RENDER ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS FIX! They are simply what I used to test this model edit. You can get them here at FPSBanana, if you wish. "Updated Team Coloured Uber Cannons" by LogicalX -"/skins/tf2/ubercannon/updated-team-colored-medic-ubercannon.html""Kritzkrieg Revamp" by 90SK - http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/48749

I REPEAT: THE SKINS SHOWN IN THE SCREENSHOTS AND RENDER ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS FIX.

This is a small fix to the Kritzkrieg model that fixes a paticularly annoying issue that skinners may have.

You see, the Kritzkrieg, for some reason known only to Valve, using bits of the Medigun skin rather than having it's own. And it always uses the Red skin, too. The result being, when using, say, team-coloured medigun skins that the Kritzkrieg attachment model would be using the wrong team colour on BLU players.

Plus, it's just a lot less flexible. You know?

Anyway, this is a very slight fix in a hex-editor that makes the kritzkrieg use w_medigun/c_medigun01.vmt instead of w_medigun/w_medigun01. This means that, with a very slight edit to the vmt file in any text editor, you can use seperate custom skins for the kritzkrieg form that of the Medigun!

This doesn't make skinning the kritz any less of a freakin' pain, but it makes things a little easier :)

HOW TO INSTALL AND USE: 1.) Extract to steamapps/team fortress 2/tf 2.) Install your custom kritz skin as normal (it should be in materials/models/weapons/w_medigun 3.) Rename the vtfs and vmts to c_medigun01 (or whatever. c_medigun_normal etc.) 4.) Edit the vmt file in a text editor to refer to c_medigun01(_whatever).vtf instead of w_medigun01. 5.) Install your custom medigun skins as normal.

I've included an example, using a copy of the default kritzkrieg skin.

Hope this comes in useful! As opposed to, say, not useful.
