If you haven't figured it out yet, I like playing sniper, but he stands out like a sore thumb.
In the TF2 universe, its one greatest flaw is a lack of consistency. Some weapons are sort of cartoony, but still would work, and some look like they're straight out of a black and white disney cartoon and should be accompanied by noodle arms.
This is just me editing most of snipers guns. Some edits are minor, some are major, and pretty much all of his primaries have a reduced barrel length. You don't need that long of a barrel to shoot at the distance snipers generally do in TF2, plus it always sticks out through things. All together, I hope to bring more detail to the snipers even though I've removed certain features, and I feel the thing I've succeded in the most is the Machina. I feel I made an ugly weapon fit in with the TF2 universe in a way it desperately needed, and then spent an hour manually marking hard edges.
Some of them were otherwise simple, like the Sydney Sleeper, but the feathers gave me an oppertunity to do some interesting things, and others, like the bazaar bargain, had such odd mesh connectivity I on more than one occasion completely deleted entire parts of the model only to realise later.
And then there is the Cleaners Carbine. It looks like it weighs as much as a manhole cover, so I spent like 2 hours trying to figure out how to make it look like it works.
Eventually, I came up with what you see in the screenshots. Looks as dainty as it plays, and really emphasizes that it can only really be used to finish people off.
