This is nothing special and I don't expect to get any high marks for it, but I just thought I would share it because I'm having a lot of fun using it. Basically, I suddenly had an idea where the Sandman was the regular aluminum bat and could make a loud, ping-y noise as it batted the ball. I created a sound file of an aluminum bat hitting a baseball and stuck it onto the Sandman. It was really fun to hear compared to the soft, wooden crack the regular Sandman makes, so I set out trying to make the regular Bat's model replace the Sandman's model. Sure enough, the unmodified Bat's world model fits perfectly. This is mostly for the fun sound effect, but I packaged the necessary files in the necessary places as a skin so that it's ready to go and easy to use and not just a random "here's a metal sound for the Sandman" submission.

I highly suggest replacing the regular Bat with a second custom model so that you can tell the difference between the two in-game. World-view Scouts don't hold baseballs in their hands, so there's no way to tell which bat they're using.

Any material skin for the regular Bat can be installed as-is and works perfectly with this mod. The only difference is that since the Sandman uses the same model for both player and world views, the dent is facing away. The reason being is that the dent on the world-view Bat faces what the Scout hits, but Valve flipped it over for the player view so there would be a little more detail showing rather than a regular bat. I'm no modeller, so I have no means of flipping the model around like Valve did. If anybody wants to do that obviously simple task for me, it would be much appreciated. For now though, just enjoy the satisfying "ping!" the bat now makes upon hitting a ball.

As usual, just copy the contents of the RAR to your tf folder as outlined in the readme. One step I forgot to include was enjoying the satisfying "ping" noise afterward. :)

I'm not experienced at all with making movies, so if somebody could do up a Youtube video of the sounds in action, that would be VERY much appreciated.
