Clarissa Dupree is the girl next door. Attractive, friendly, intellegent… and carrying a deep secret. When a chance encounter with her neighbor sends Clarissa spiraling down a path of self discovery,
how will she come to terms with her dualistic nature? Will she be able to find “wholeness” and live as a “real person?” Alpha 60 Productions proudly presents – ~~~ A WOMAN IS A WOMAN ~~~ DIRECTOR’S NOTE: This is my official entry in the 96 Hour Guerilla Filmmaking Challenge. The theme was “my neighbor has a secret,” a theme I decided to explore from the perspective of the holder of the secret instead of the accuser. As such, this is perhaps less epic and intense than some of my previous efforts. It is merely a silent character portrait where we follow one person during a time of tribulation. There is not a plot, per se, except for what happens internally. This is also a subtitled film. No VO. Because of the nature of this film, I could think of no way I could possibly do the VO work myself for this character. In many ways, VO could easily ruin this movie. So there it is: my first silent picture. MUSIC: All music was attained from non-copyrighted, royalty free music sites.
