Porter, OSS Girl\" series was actually filmed in late 1941, then hastily updated to reference the attack on Pearl Harbor. Porter\'s patriotic exhortation at the end, delivered directly to the audience, was clearly shot some time after the end of principal photography. Answers to some issues raised by reviewers: Unfortunately, most of Eddie\'s subplot wound up on the cutting room floor. There was an action sequence where Eddie and Ashley are ambushed. After the fight, Ashley comes clean, and Eddie reports \"Amy\" as dead. The idea here also was to tie in with Ilsa\'s rather easy capture. The two National Socialist soldiers are out for a stroll because they believe Porter to be dead. Eddie also tied in with another character who goes missing in action in this cut, Klaus the Evil Henchman. Klaus was to attack Ashley from behind after the \"radio\" sequence, but get cut down first by a rifle shot from Eddie. And there\'d be a tender love scene moment to close out the movie. All that added running time to the film that would\'ve tried the audience\'s tolerance level even more, and thus had to be cut out. I tried to streamline things so the plot holes aren\'t too glaringly obvious. The radiation exposure was actually supposed to be a minor mystery, with the audience wondering why the National Socialists look so weird, and what happened to them between the \"pre-credit sequence\" and today. (Oh, and the Lobster Men get *two* shots off! You can hear them passing harmlessly overhead as they make the Baroness duck in one scene. :))
